right. just thought i'd post here to see if any of you have lumps on your hard palette? i have been googling and the internet is a paranoid place full of cancer stories.

basically i have a small [few mm circumference] lump on the LHS of my palette, roughly half way back. it comes and goes, sometimes feels bigger and painful to the touch. then it goes away and nothing, then comes back. i have now noticed there is another shallower one at roughly the same place on the RHS.

so am i being paranoid? could it be a blockage of some sort? or it is purely normal?

i don't have a doctor or dentist atm and don't want to look a tool getting an emergency appointment because of internet horror stories.

You think there is something wrong but you won't get an appointment because you think it'll make you look silly?

Hate to be blunt but stop being dumb and go and get it checked out. No harm in it.

don't mind looking silly - been there done that, had a middle aged man feeling my balls to prove it!

if i thought it was serious i would make it a priority, but something tells me cancerous lumps don't go away and come back of their own accord!

The fact that they come and go means they are almost certainly not anything nasty. Might be a cyst like thing called a ranula. Anyway, best go and get them eyeballed by someone with a bit of common sense and a medical degree, ( the two usually, but not always, go together).
