coloured contact lenses
Discussion
Hi PH's
I wanted a temporary change of eye colour to see if my other half noticed, so I ordered coloured contacts, same prescription as my normal contacts, off the internet. A reputable firm and Make I might add. I have tried them but found I had blurred vision. I know the main reason for contacts was for me to be able to 'see', so I whipped them out pronto, and I wont be trying them again.
Has anyone else tried these?

It might be that the size was slightly wrong, perhaps try a different brand before giving up. I bought some from a site and they felt terrible, then tried another and they were fine. I haven't got the link, but the better ones were made by Cooper Vision (Southampton), the site was based in Sweden I think.
Just make sure that you follow the instructions, thorougly clean your hands and the lenses in accordance with the intstructions and dispose of them at the required time.

Of course you could just try speaking to your optician...
If you haven't been fitted with these lenses it is illegal for them to be supplied to you - you should be asked for an up to date prescription for each lens type you require.
If lenses don't fit then apart from not seeing through them they can and will cause you harm and problems. There are plenty of reasonably priced cooured lenses available legitimately so why take the risk?

size and curvature is the key... plus with the colours you will get a halo if the colour encroaches on the part of the eye that you see with. I had a blue halo most of the time when wearing them but I didnt care.
I used blue ones as I have blonde hair and people thought it was weird and cool at the same time and it meant I got served quick at the bar as the barmaids noticed something but couldnt figure out what
