Anyone got one, or had experience of one?

Our 12 week little bundle has gone from having somewhere around 15 sheeites a day to nothing at all for 3 days!!

Started 6 days ago, 3 days and nowt then a "Poonami®" occured and she blathered everything within a 3 metre radius. She did look pleased with herself smile Trouble is she's gone another 3 days and nowts occuring.

She's like a faecal hand grenade....daren't take her out anywhere!

If there's no ablutive stirrings by the morning I think a trip to the GP is in order but anyone else experienced something similar?

'They all do that Sir'.

I read it's nothing to worry about, as long as they are still weeing regularly.

Poonami® laugh I've had to clear up quite a few of those.

Cats and other animals often lick the anus of their young to encourage them to produce faeces. Have you tried that method, it may help?

My nephew got constipation when he was eighteen months.

It was because he was thirsty.

Giving him more to drink helped as did moving his legs in a bicycling motion.

As above - weeing regularly is more important. If baby is drinking regularly, that's the main thing. Babies can, apparently, not poo for up to 7 days - this is considered normal.

As for the poo handgrenade - have one of these - laugh

wasnt there someone on here that mentioned their own little poo handgrenade started turning a reddish colour when they were driving back from his folks?

the little tyke was putting in some real effort grunting and turning red and the PHer thought that they could make it home (40kms or so) and be safe.... just then the little tyke stopped going red and started to smile and gurgle....

Then the real battle with chemical warfare started and a chemical worse than mace hit the cabin all the time the little tyke was blissfully unaware, the Pher decided to put his foot down, open the windows and little tyke went into wave 2 of going red and grunting....

When they got home they found the little poo grenade had filled up the romper suit upto cuffs and was seeping out of the cuffs onto the back seats... baby was smilng and looking chuffed.

Enjoy lunch folks smile

But when she goes, doe's she really go??

I think if nothings happened by Monday we'll ring to see the doc.

BTW, she's breast fed, perfectly healthy and gaining weight just as she should.

Zen.

Mrs Dogsey is a Community Nursery Nurse with the NHS and deals with this kind of thing on a daily basis, if you want some advice from her PM me and I'll get her to reply to it tonight.

Aye, we've had this with our daughter.

There's not a lot you can do, it's to do with their digestive systems growing and coping with food.

A combo of more water and massage of the tummy helped.

dont know if i could cope with this, would using a hosepipe in the back yard for cleaning duties be frowned upon?
