Last week i went in the doctors inwhich i was refered to go to the hospital to sort my ingrowing toe nail. Now never having to have delt with the a hospital until now ( thank god ) I could only assume i would get a letter a few days later! So nearly getting on 2 weeks now and still nothing left, and my toe is still hurting like a bh! Who do i need to contact to see about this?

Cheers

The hospital. Ring switchboard then ask for appointments.

Go to a chiropodist. Twenty odd quid and it'll be done in 5 mins.

They have to see you within 18 weeks.

That doesn't help does it...

I had an NHS referral dated from 10/2/09....and I'm still waiting for an appointment..so don't hold your breath. I'd also suggest going private smile

If it's that bad just go an spend the 20 notes at a chiropodist. I really wouldn't bother with the NHS.

If its that bad that they are going to remove the nail and kill off the beds to stop it happening again, it will have to be done at the hospital but other wise its worth a visit to the chiropodist even if thay can help ease it whilst your waiting. If you can, its worth letting the hospital know that you can pick up any last minute cancellation. I waited 6 months to have one of mine done, then after telling them I could do a last minute job, I was in and done within a week. Got a call at 10am, to go in at 3pm!
