Morning all.
Yesterday evening i went rock jumping into the sea.
I've woken up this morning with sharp pains in both my ears, more so my left ear than my right.
When i yawn it becomes even more painful & my hearing has definately been affected.
There was no blood or anything coming from my ears & it does'nt feel at all like i have water in them.
What could it be?
Is it serious?
I've dried calling the local doctors but they seem to be fairly useless and won't even give me an appointment!

Very unusual to have a bacterial infection in both ears, unless you have been transferring stuff from one to the other. More likely a viral infection for which Ibuprofen and Paracetamol should help a bit. I would suggest you might need stronger analgesia, see the GP.

Sounds like Eustachean tube dysfunction. If it doesn't settle with above advice then suggest get checked.

Morning guys,
Ears are still hurting today.
I've got an appt for friday morning as its the only one they could give me!
My hearing has definately gotten worse since & still hurts if i yawn or itch my ears so to speak.
I'm thinking it might have been something to do with hitting the water as it hurt instantly after
i did it jumping from about 50ft!
