I've had an ear infection over the last week or so and have been taking ibuprofen to help with the pain. I suffer from pretty bad skin but for some reason it has pretty much completely cleared up over the last week and all i can link it to, is the regular dose of ibuprofen. So basically i was wondering what the effects/implications of taking ibuprofen regularly are? Im only taking 2 a day

cheers

Pass but just two a day wont do much to help your pain!

Doesn't sound too promising

Bit annoying as it has made my skin pretty flawless for the first time in about 6 years

Hi - just to confirm that ibuprofen has no effect on skin condition (either for better or worse). Out of interest, did you take or use anything else for your ear infection?

for me ibuprofen works like a very dilute form of speed. keeps me awake and affects me like i have had a little bit of speed. in fact if i know i am going out on a heavy night out i will take 6 of them before i go out. wake up and hey presto ,no hangover

If you've been taking antibiotics for the infection they may well have sorted your skin problem.

If you haven't, then maybe your body's immune system has cranked up a gear due to the ear, and wiped out all teh lurgy in your body.

A silly thing but when you take your medicine (ibuprofen etc) did you drink a glass of water to wash it down? Maybe the extra cups of water are having a detoxifying effect?

Your liver must love you. Making its way through 3 times the recommended dose and a bucket full of ethanol. I wouldn't prolong that method. Really.
