Not sure if this is the best place for this post so mod's feel free to move.

Anyone done the http://hundredpushups.com/index.html challenge? I've been doing this a while now as I thought it was a good way to try and build up strength without the need for gym (I don't really have time).

Was doing okay until I hit week 4 and am now struggling on day 1 of this week! I can do the first 18, 22, 16, 16 but really struggle to hit the final 25 for the day. I've tried 2 days on the trot now but can only make 20 at a real push before I collapse and almost die hehe

Interested to know if anyone has completed this challenge?

Cheers,
Graham

There is a least one post about this, havnt had time to find it though. Am currently on week three, having started and lost interest a few times. I have the app on my phone now which makes me less likely to forget.

Thanks for the heads up.. just done my first week (3).

Yours sounds pretty tough; so far it's been low, high, med, med, med+ a bit on the days I've done which sounds fairer than yours with the big last set.

I doubt I'll make it to the end though as my build is against me, but it's certainly got me to improve!

I put together my own routine finding this one boring.

I've now managed to do 92 push-ups in one set, and I'm currently doing 4 sets of 40 reps, in the morning when I get up and in the evening just before I go to bed.

That works out at 320 push-ups per day with my target being 400.

I started slow at 4 reps of 15 push-ups and each week, I added a further five. I can't tell you the pain of my chest and shoulders when I first started but I reckon by the end of next week (I've had to stop due to an operation in my mouth), I should just about make 100 push-ups in one single set.

you should try 100 pressups one day and then skip a day, and repeat for a week.....pressups easy but the skipping is knackering...

think this was on Sean Connery.
