Contact Lenses Online
Discussion
Looking to get the best bang for the buck on various items including my contact lenses. Currently paying £25 per month (incl. solution) for my monthly astigmatic lenses. I'd like to try some more comfortable lenses, but feel paying £30 per month with D&A retail is too much.
Anyone purchase theirs online, and if so where from?
Thanks for Looking

Mine come from www.daysoftlenses.com tried the 58% but found them too thick. The 72% are as good as Acuvue 1 dayers and half the price. Very happy with this company and lenses so far. 6 months for under 60 quid.

I get mine from http://www.visiondirect.com/la/product/default.asp...
USD 37.99 for a 3-month supply of Focus Dailies (per eye).
I've tried the opticians' own brands and Focus Dailies are far superior.

Who are you going to get to fit them for you, as D+A can't issue a prescription for a type of lens they haven't seen in your eyes.Anyone purchase theirs online, and if so where from?

Are dailies worse quality than monthlies?
Yes, thinner and less comfortable when worn for extended periods but I guess it does depend on the person wearing them as we are all different!I found the above was true and now wear monthlies, much better quality and they correct astigmatism more effectively.
£18 a month from specsavers BTW, including the containers and solution.
They are easy to take care of; just poor the liquid in the pot and put each lens in the 2 holder, screw on lid. In the morning just lift them out and insert - no rubbing to clean or rinsing required. Peroxide solution is neutralised by the special container as it cleans the lenses overnight.
The lenses container and solution last a month and then you start with everything afresh.

another vote for daysoft here. I do use the 58's and find them a delight. Find them more comfortable than anything else, and despite long hours always leave my eyes in good condition. Cheap and reliable too.Edited by autoholic on Tuesday 31st March 23:52

That's one of the main reasons I switched to monthlies, they are so much better and will correct effectively.
The comfort was an added bonus I hadn't expected. I wouldn't go back to dailies again.

Never tried dailies as they seem too much of a compromise. Certainly wont be going back to GP's (gas permeables) either although the vision was slightly better with them. Thinking of changing from monthly Softlens 66 to the Purevision Torics (both D&A).
