PH Doctors: Twitching eye!

My bottom right eyelid has been twitching for about a week now, and it's driving me f**king mental! Any ideas what it could be? Would it be an optician or a GP that I need to see?!

Tired or tired and strained eyes.

1) Get some sleep
2) If still twitching, go to the opticians and get them checked.


3) Stop asking daft bloody questions on PH - Remember Google is your friend!

Its to do with being tired.

I get it every few months and sometimes it can last a couple of hours, other times it can last a few days!

try some Optrex Dry Eye stuff, the eye lid is not lubricated enough and is sticking. Staring at a computer screen for 10 hours a day normally causes this....

Fatigue or Stress. Try tuning the ligths down to if you can. Or work in natural light.

No, definitely Necrotizing fasciitis.

It starts as an eye twitch and within 6 hours turns into this :

I had a head cold 4 years ago, which for some reason started one of my eyes twitching.

4 years later I still get it, sometimes it's really bad but over time it has got better... Nothing to do with stress or tiredness for me.

I get this occasionally.

As others have pointed out, it is usually to do with lack of sleep, but the other big contributing factor is fluorescent strip lighting, as this flickers (although you can't see it).

My GP is more likely to prove the theory of cold fusion, than to actually diagnose any ailment.
