Pneumonia Vaccination
Discussion
Pneumococcal vaccine - protects against pneumonia, meningitis, and sepsis - in those at risk.
Unlikely to give you much more than a sore arm. Get it on the other arm from the flu jab - if you decide to get it.

Just wondering how long this has been a thing as I had never heard of it.
Just had a message to book one from GP.
Booked a flu jab but thinking I ll give the pneumonia one a miss.
Quite a few years - and doesn’t just help with protection against pneumonia but also sepsis etc. Just had a message to book one from GP.

Offered at 65 along with the aorta scan and I think shingles too now ?

Did you get the aorta scan last year ?.
No it was two or three years ago. Booked my flu jab and will book pneumonia jab when the app releases some. Just had all bloods done and all good there!
Not too many fringe benefits of turning 65 but “ free “ aorta scan felt like a win !
