Yes, I have. I had to stay at the hospital all day after the procedure in the morning, after they had done the biopsy I was wheeled into a ward and told to stay in one position for an extended period (many hours) and not move as this is needed so that the liver does not bleed from the puncture wound. When I had it they took four samples from different parts of the liver. Remember being a bit sore for a few days afterwards but not too bad. My results took about a month to come through when I was called in by the specialist who told me I had a very fatty liver probably the result of a very bad episode of hepatitis where I was laid up in bed for 6 weeks and off work for 6 months, i remember having to have very painful injections for the first week in hospital even though I was more or less delirious for the first 5 days.
Yep, I had one about 18 months ago, can't say it was pleasant but not the worst thing either - more nerve-wracking than anything to have someone sticking a dirty great needle in your side!
Quite a strange sensation, almost like being winded a bit.
Was in & out in a day (but took the whole day). Mild discomfort but forgotten about within 24 hours.
Results negative thankfully.
Apparently there can be all sorts of odds & ends can show up from a scan of your liver - some may have been there since birth.
Good luck.
