Hello my partner had a blood clot a few years ago (Her leg) and is on medication for it long term.
She has felt really bad for the past year or so, and been to the doctor (Kent) several times. They did lots of scans (Gave her the results) and prescribed her Folic Acid?

She went to Poland for some dental work this week (She is a Polish national with right to remain in the uk) and visited a clinic. They have diagnosed a second blood clot has happened in other leg recently but did not clog - may have dissoved. They took one look at the UK results and said they should have spotted that, and questioned why they prescribed Folic Acid??

I am at same GP and honestly not too impressed with them. Is there a way to escalate with the NHS when shes back to get her to re review her case?

Sorry if my terminology is off, I talked to her on the phone and neither of us are medical experts.

Thanks for any help.

Log a complaint with the GP practice manager

Although Id imagine its a bit strange a dentist would be an expert on blood clots.....

Cheers
