Have I damaged my elbow using a rip saw?

A month ago I used a cordless rip saw to trim some trees in the garden. I woke up with a pain in my elbow the next day, I didn't think much of it, I'm in my sixties and random pains and strains are quite common.
But 4 weeks on I'm still in pain, ranging from nil through shooting pains down the forearm and into the wrist and up into the shoulder. I tossed something into the washing machine earlier and immediately felt like I'd been hit with a baseball bat.

I'm familiar with the concept of HAVS but this was a one off. I remeber the blade catching once or twice and jerking my arm but nothing too dramatic or violent.
Any ideas?
