I've had issues with my innards for a month or so now, probably around before Christmas.

Its worse the last few weeks during the night.

I was prescribed ozempramole over the phone that I started then stopped as it went away.

I have appetite, it just seems to be my guts are churning a bit after a meal i.e. like now when sat down for the day. Breakfasts seem to be ok but maybe thats where im getting into the day. Poo isn't completely solid but not completely unsolid, it looks a bit stodgy.

Missus reckons its stress, that could lead it to be GERD, im not under massive stress but its been busy after xmas.

Im going back to the Ozempramole for a few days then will phone the doc, but has anyone got any similar symptoms?

Tbh I'm pretty poor on diet but I am fit and not obese and goto the gym two/three times a week and had two rounds of golf at the weekend. I'm going to be eating clean the next week to see how it goes.

I love my coffee and i usually have a diet coke with dinner or lunch but may need to get off this for a while.

I've had a new boss start at work and other demands so could be a contributing factor.

You're supposed to take the PPI for a while - you can get a rebound if you stop taking it, but I think that mainly happens if you've been taking it for some time.

I can really feel it if I have strong caffinated coffee.

Are you getting acid reflux or a burning sensation coming up from your gut into your throat, if so continue on the pills, as been mentioned the rebound from stopping can actually make it worse, ultimately you will have to address the cause not just the symptoms, clean up the diet, maybe lose weight if need be and take regular exercise and throw in plenty of gut friendly bacteria.

You can be fit as a fiddle but if you’ve got a crap diet full of ultra processed foods like bread and Diet Coke, sugar filled crap etc it will catch up with you eventually.

Coffee stimulates the gut but everyone is different, you should eat clean whole foods and then reintroduce things you may be suspicious of to see if they cause I problem

There’s usually a trigger which sets people off, my partner had his first chrons flair after watching his father die of a heart attack while giving CPR. Ever since too much stress and he’s unwell

You will definitely get rebound if you'e been on it for more than a few weeks. Titrate downwards off it over a short time.

If nothing changed diet wise it can be stress, that's a massive trigger for me.

Other things for me is diary which is completely eliminated and these fake sugars found in diet drinks which I've binned aswell and swapped for sparkling water.

Food diary is handy as you'll soon notice a pattern
