I had a bad fall, broke my shoulder and fragments ended up the ball socket. They are thinking to replace the whole shoulder and socket.

I’m quite young for this kind of operation and it’ll probably have to be done again in 15 years. Surgeons don’t normally care as to be frank the socket out survives the person. Not with me though.

Had anyone had this done? What is your experience? The internet doesn’t really help as it has contradictory healing times.

One of our neighbours had this done, but he is elderly and it was due to arthritis.

From what he said, it was very painful. More painful than the knee replacements he had a few years earlier. But he is back driving, so all good.

I have a client getting this done a week on Monday. He's in his 70s though, so not the same as yourself. Can let you know how his rehab goes though if you want (hoping to start about 2 weeks afterwards with ROM work).
