Im getting a pain in the area below my ribcage for the last week and it feels like after you've had a bout of food poisoning and like someones prodded my guts.

Phoned the doctor yesterday and they've given me Omeprazole but I'm not getting anything coming up after food.

What do ulcers feel like?

Where about ‘under your ribcage’?

If it’s under right ribs, in the upper right quadrant, that could be gallbladder issues and believe me, you do not want to ignore that

Any pain radiating into your back / right shoulder blade area at all?

No i checked gall bladder symptoms and it's mostly in the middle of the chest between the ribs.

I've got appetite, I'm wondering if I've over done it today as I had pain since last Friday after a round of golf and played today and got the same feelings.

Stool is ok, maybe not solid but not runs.

Stuff like this us Really frustrating as you can't see anything to work it out!

I had that two weeks ago, it was a virus.

Thought I'd pulled a muscle in the front of my sternum at first.

Maybe it is then, I'm not feeling sick after food just like someone's punched me in the gut.

I have this virus. Awful. Pain everywhere, feel shattered but can't sleep well but when I do, have very odd dreams around the typhoo £29m theft of machinery and tea bags and could have been done about to prevent.

I was reading somewhere that a new strain of covid was giving people costochondritis but damned if I can find the bugger now.

Mine was better after about 10 days.

Maybe I've had a weak strain of something. Not wiped just ahes when I eat.

I'll be running the course of these tabs I've been given and I will be ringing the quack.

It's just an antacid, what do you think is supposed to happen?

No I meant I wasn't feeling nauseous before going on these meds.

Strange that they have given you a reflux pill with the symptoms you've described, Dr sounds a bit useless.

One of the worst things for me is the totally inability to sleep at night. Last 3 or 4 nights been awake until 3 or 4... Why does that happen when ill? Surely the body must realise sleep would make it better?

Another symptom for me is when I'm hungry, I feel really sick like I'm actually going to be sick.

Indeed, expect nothing less with an over the phone appointment.

I actually stopped taking them as it wasn't working.

Hope everyones feeling better, I'm eating a bit cleaner after xmas and back to normal (if there is one).
