Tech for short term memory loss
Discussion
Hoping the collective PH can help.
Surviving parent has been suffering from short term memory loss for over a year.
Have to stress that this is not Alzheimer's.
There are 3 siblings managing the care and we are all fairly close by.
Currently we manage by creating daily lists on paper.
What we are looking for is a piece of technology that can create lists and communicate with each other.
Been racking my brains and actually a private whatsapp group could do the task.
Is there anything else that I should consider. It has to be simple to use and visual (additional audio messages would be a plus).
For example yesterday I rang in the afternoon to say that I was coming over with a prepared curry for dinner time.
I arrive to find something already started to be cooked in the oven. Luckily I had the foresight to come earlier than dinner time to catch this early.

Google Keep allows you to set up shared lists/notes. Can be accessed via Google Home devices with voice as well. For example, we have a shopping list set up at home and just shout at google to add something to the shopping list and both me and my partner can then check what's on it. For stuff like this I always think you're best using widely used tools where you can so a Whatsapp group is a good idea. Getting a group of people to use something new can be really hard work, even if it's objectively the best tool for the job.
Could you mount an Android tablet to the wall in a common area? There's an app called Fully Kiosk which can make the tablet do things like switch the screen on when it detects motion, and that might serve as a useful prompt for everyone to use it. Mounting it also avoids the problem of it being left somewhere nobody can find it.
