Cyst removal privately.

Yeah costs similar to above, although this was nearly ten years ago so prices have probably risen, timescales were about 6 weeks from initial consulatation to procedure, iirc.
Crikey, wasn't expecting it to be anywhere near this timescale or price.Mine is quite small, about 1.5cm across, at the top of my inner thigh. How does that compare with you guys?
I don't know whereabouts you are but if you can get to Maidenhead have a look at Thames Valley Surgery:
https://minorsurgery.co.uk/
It's still not exactly cheap, but it's definately less than the cosmetic surgery type places that are everywhere. If I recall you get the consultation fee knocked off if you go ahead but it looks like you have to pay lab fees for a cyst.
Consultation: £60
Lab fees: £120
Removal: varies but could be £400
So not much change out of £600 & could be a bit more.

Not that close, but doable.
Certainly more in the ball park of what I was expecting.
Cheers for that.
Blimey! I remember seeing my GP about a cyst in my leg about the size of a cold/flu capsule.
He couldn't wait to get his scalpel set out. Did it there and then.
I quite often have Basal Cell Carcinomas removed from my scalp/face via private health insurance.
I do see the bills and they are 'only' in the few hundreds.

My GP may do it. They have a doctor that likes to get his scalpels out, but only for necessary and easy issues. I just have to convince them this one fits that bill. He couldn't wait to get his scalpel set out. Did it there and then.

I got a pea sized one removed from just below my ear. GP diagnosed it as a sebaceous cyst which is purely cosmetic so no NHS.
I went to a harley street clinic to get it removed. They advertised it as from £295, with the initial consultation being £250.
The consultation was about 30 seconds (the doc just said yes it's a sebaceous cyst). A manager/saleswoman then went through the pricing which was closer to a grand, but the consultation fee was included in that.
I agreed (or it was £250 for bugger all). I went back in to see the same doc and it was done in about 10-15 minutes in her office.
Including travel to and from the clinic I was in London no longer than an hour!
They did say if it comes back in a year you can have it removed again for free. About 6m later I could feel a lump so emailed them for a new appointment, they didn't get back to me! Fortunately that lump then went of its own accord.

Yep in the shoulder and done via private medical insurance, I managed to get it done as it had gone infected twice in 3 years and everytime it did it would cause me a month of issues, so GP agreed to refer me to Spire and Insurance picked up the tag.
The scarring was so bad from the last time it got infected (A&E doc used scalpel to scrape what he could find out) that they just ended up cutting a thumb-sized piece of flesh off the shoulder.
Have 1 or 2 more that just piss me off than cause any issues so would not be able to claim for those... but I would always recommend talking with your Dr and seeing if you can get the referral cause then its cheaper.
