As I had a stem-cell transplant I am regarded as vulnerable and get called for early vaccination shots. I've never had a problem with this and usually I get a shot, go home, and carry on as normal.

Yesterday I got both at the same time: covid in the left arm, and flu in the right. I am absolutely knacked. I slept 10 hours last night and have had a two hour nap this morning.
I can barely lift my arms from my sides and when I do the pain is best described on the standard British pain scale as 'jolly uncomfortable'. I'm sure it'll wear off and all will be good and worthwhile.

Has anyone else had a double shot this season and if so how's it been for you?

No personal experience but a guy I work with recently had the same thing, he reported exactly what you did but was pretty much fine after 2 or 3 days, hopefully you'll be the same

We had the double shot a few weeks back. O/H's arms ached quite severely for three days with Covid worse than flu however she's immunosuppressed so is a bit 'weird'.

My arms ached slightly for three days, both about the same.

I had the flu (declined the Covid) vaccine 9 days ago. Wiped me out, fatigue, headache, brain fog, muscle soreness the lot. Only just about feel normal again.

But I have autoimmune stuff going on, so likely worse for me.

I had both a couple of weeks ago. Felt a bit crap the next day but that could have been anything as whole house had colds except me. That was my nineth covid jab. Not had any kind of reaction before other than feeling like someone stuck a needle in me.

Hmm - mine is booked for Fri after work. Maybe I should have made it Monday morning.

I'm not entirely sure why I'm on the vulnerable list anyway so was tempted not to bother.

I had both last Saturday. Previously, when I have had both, a pair of sore arms were the result. However, this time, like the OP, I was completely shattered for a day and my temperature regulation went up st creek! Teeth chattering, shivering, the whole works! Come Monday morning, right as rain again. Go figure!

I had flu and covid a week apart.

The covid especially has left me fatigued. The first two days were the worst. It has been a week now and I feel OK mostly and then hit a wall.

Not had this year's jabs yet, appointment not until December, but in previous years I've had no issues other than a mild pain in my arm, although I do get both in my left arm. Don't see the point of having 2 sore arms, when I can have just one sore arm. smile

I have a frozen left shoulder at the moment, so had both jabs in my right arm. I also had a blood test earlier that day, so another needle in my right arm. I was a bit tender for 24hrs but no other side effects.

I had both shots last Wednesday 16th.

Arms were a bit sore for 2-3 days and felt tired on the 2nd day afterwards (took paracetamol).

No real problems though.

Had both jabs at the same last year and felt rough for 10 days, so this year decided to have them separately.
Had the covid 3 weeks ago, was rough for 2 weeks, and the flu jab last week, and still feeling rough.
Had the shingles jab 10 weeks ago, and that again made me feel unwell for a week, and my arm is still sore!
Still, I'd rather have all of that than get have the full blown illnesses in the future.

I had both last Friday, bit of tiredness and some pain in one of the injection sites and that was all. Not like one of the boosters where I had really violent shakes.. I get them due to MS and / or being immuno-suppressed rather than age.

I had both a couple of weeks back, last year I was off work for a couple of days due to fatigue.

This year, some fatigue but no time off so much better.

Might just be a coincidence, but I remembered my sister's advice of "windmill arms" for flu and covid jabs and didn't get sore arms. I got some odd looks though.

I forgot for the shingles one and I wasn't able to lie on that side for about three nights.
