Any ecg experts on here?
Discussion
I've just had surgery to remove my gallbladder, and as part of the run up to that I had an ecg at a pre op assessment.
I was looking through the results when waiting for my op, and the following three things caught my attention..
Sinus bradycardia
Left axis deviation
Nonspecific intraventricular block
I figure that as my surgery went ahead and nobody mentioned these things then I'm all good, but I'm as curious as the next guy and couldn't help googling it all. That's not really been much help, so what are the chances someone on here knows a bit about this.....

Axis deviation is the electrical signal coming from a different angle than the norm, when viewed by the ecg, as the heart has moved slightly from its normal axis. Numerous reasons for this.
Intraventricular block or conduction delay is a longer QRS than normally expected. Numerous reasons for this too!
Do you have any cardiac history or take many meds?

Thanks for the reply. Intraventricular block or conduction delay is a longer QRS than normally expected. Numerous reasons for this too!

No cardiac history. Meds - amlodipine 5mg, atorvastatin 20mg. That's it.

We’d consider the hypertension as cardiac in nature. It’s probably the cause of the anomalies too. If they were worried, you’d be referred to cardio so don’t be too concerned. No cardiac history. Meds - amlodipine 5mg, atorvastatin 20mg. That's it.
