Can anyone recommend any other wearable monitors that aren't as expensive as the Dexcom one? I'm not eligible to get this through the NHS so the £79 seems crazy.

Are there any decent similar cheaper options in the market?

And yes i realise the finger prick blond test monitor is peanuts but i like the idea of the wearable patch

Thanks

Freestyle libre used to be cheaper .... It used to be £45. Seems you can get it online for about £50 now....

I've just done a trial of the Libre. Wasn't impressed by the accuracy when compared with finger pricks. I know about the time lag between blood & interstitial fluid so gave it enough time between Blood & Libre reading but it was upto 40% over read, avering about 23% over iirc.

I raised it with Libre & they're sending another unit out for me to trial so will see how that goes. I've also got a trial Deccom pod on the way so I can see how I get on with that one. I love the idea of being able to monitor in near real-time and see which foods spike me etc. Just hoping I can find one with some degree of accuracy although even the shape of the graph helps with some info - but I want figures dammit!

I was only diagnosed in August so still getting my head round it all.

Only decent ones are Dexcom One, One+, Freestyle Libre 2, 2+ and 3.

I'm using freestyle 2,+ much better accuracy and reliability than either 1 or 2.
