I had corrective lenses put in my eyes during cataract surgery which are also varifocal. Apparently is it is done by a series of rings that your eye focus on to get the best vision, which is all very good but it does tend to make bright car lights (especially led) have a halo effect at night. I mentioned this to my consultant and he recommended the yellow tinted night driving glasses. They do work to an extent, but more by reducing glare than the halo effect. Saying that, I do wear them when I am driving any distance at Night (Le Mans a couple of times) and they do make a difference to how tired your eyes get. You do still look a bit of a Reginald Molehusband wearing them though
