Been having the odd pain recently and teeth have been occasionally sensitive. Went to see a dentist on Tuesday as it was getting painful. X-rayed back teeth and said no problem but needed to see hygienist for a scrape n polish (always the answered nowadays eh ?).

Hygienist booked up for a while so booked in for a full check up two days later. Pain got worse and I felt sure a scrape and polish wouldn't help with my jaw/tooth ache. A few X- rays and was told my teeth and gums are fine and healthy. Wasn't happy and said that I felt sure the hygienist wasn't going to fix this.
Another X-ray and lots of pondering standing in front of the big overall X ray and I've been referred to the face and dental section (name ?!) of a local hospital as an 'urgent case'.

My left jaw line wasn't as defined as well as the right side in the X ray, that was obvious.

It's just a waiting game I know but what can I expect to happen ?

I'm just in the middle of a whole heap of sh*t right now so if this gets bad I've got to delegate a whole load of crap to others.......

Ten years or so ago I had a cyst diagnosed above one of my top front teeth. Was advised to have it removed before it started making a hole in the jaw. Local anaesthetic. They peeled the gum back did some drilling and sucking and cleaning the area out, stitched it up and sent me home, with some painkillers am told to keep ice on it for a while. Wasn’t the most pleasant operation, but pretty painless.
