NHS Fillings From January
Discussion
The dentist wants me to have 2 white fillings at the back of my mouth, I am lucky enough to be a patient at an NHS dentist. White fillings are twice the price of NHS amalgam, but there should be less drilling as the white stuff is "stickier" and the dentist was keen for me to have this.
I understand that due to the EU stopping the use of amalgam fillings from January the NHS will have to offer an alternative. Would it be worth my while waiting for January and seeing what happens to the NHS prices then. My fillings are fine at the moment, this is more of a preventative measure than an emergency.
