Distance Acuity - usually referred to as VA, or Visual Acuity - is your corrected vision i.e. with your prescription applied (usually in the form of glasses).

Not an optician, but are you sure they said glasses for distance? You have almost no prescription, but a larger reading add so from my uneducated read of it I would expect you to be recommended glasses for reading/computer work rather than distance

Obviously I wasn't there but I expect the recommendation was for distance.
It's not a big prescription, granted, but there's enough going on there to warrant a correction.

I would guess the OP to be early-to-mid 40's-ish, judging by the +1.00 reading add and - being mildly myopic - is capable of reading without glasses.

Everything in my eyesight now seems to be perfectly functional with no issues at all, no matter the distance.

I have not noticed a single issue until they use the eye test machine yesterday.

I can still read number plates well beyond the required distance and reading books and paperwork presents. No issue.

Ah, looking at it again (not whilst having lunch this time) I see the cyl values are much more significant so yes that would make sense.

I'm used to working in 'plus-cyl form' and when transposed, the OP's distance prescription looks like this:

R) -1.00 / +0.75 x 150
L) -1.25 / +1.00 x 15

It's exactly the same prescription but looks completely different.

To the OP, I would say - if you're happy with all aspects of your vision, then just carry on as you are.
