Same here, if I get bitten by a Mosquito it turns into a rock hard, weeping pea sized lump that takes about a month to go.

I scratched my leg or was bitten.
No puncture marks and it was red and swollen from my shins round to my calf top to bottom.

I wouldn’t mind it’s not the country or some exotic playing zone it’s suburban Manchester !
Know todays has gone like a red circular circle about found inches across and inside of it is rock hard.
It’s like I’ve got something that seems to aggravate bites and scratches

It's a strange one.

I got stung by a nettle a month ago. Still got the marks on me from where it blew up and went nasty. As a kid I used to run through them and any stings would have gone by the following day.

Same goes for bites. Anything that bites me now ends up itching like hell, and the minute its touched (even accidently) it flares up into a lump that takes weeks to disappear.

I put it down to age, but there must be more to it. You'd think that as you go through life your skin would toughen to these things, but its the opposite.

Maybe is our immune systems as we get older?

I am far from an expert at this sort of stuff but a couple points you learn as you become older.

You can become sensitised to stuff over time, this can be anything.
As you age you ability to resist stuff diminishes.

I now, at the age of 60 suffer from Hayfever, having spent the first 55 years never being affected. I also suffer from a bit of dermatitis after years of working with my hands, never had issues till a few years ago.

Agreed, never had a single issue in the first 50 years of life. I was 50 last year and I now feel like I am falling apart. I currently have swimmers ear despite not having swum for years.

Currently have a lovely scabby ear and a Drs appointment at 10:00am tomorrow to get ear spray and antibiotics.

Horsefly's are bds for me.. Fleas (we're surrounded by woods and the cats bring them in unfortunately) and mozzies make me itch but that's about it... TBH midges in the evening are little buggers and always go for my scalp biggrin

But horse flys are the ones that if I don't react quick enough will bring me out in a huge, swollen lump that'll ooze...

Hydrocortisone is the best treatment I've found; apply it ASAP and within a few days its under control and in a week, gone!

Try the hot teaspoon method.
When you notice a bite get a teaspoon as hot as you can touch and put it directly on the wound for a while.
Sounds stupid but I've found it works.

Not sure TBH

When I've been out in the woods hacking the brambles back in the area I try to keep clean; if I get caught by them or the hawthornes etc; they always make me itch like buggery...

Maybe try an antihistamine and see how you fair

Lots of poisonous plants in the UK can cause nasty rashes, not just nettles. Some can even be fatal.

yes but all red and hard (oh'er missus)
they started out as red hard dots then expanded out literally like ripples in a pond to that size, some were bigger then faded completely after a day or two...
