A quick preamble
3 Heart attacks ,1 stent, then following a period of tests for AF installation of “electronic ignition” (pacemaker) and things settled down for last 2 years . Then , for the past few weeks first thing in some mornings a mild pain/discomfort across mid chest and up towards below chin. This morning for the first time I tried GTN and after 15/20 mins all the discomfort had gone
Some of these symptoms are mentioned on NHS web site , except the discomfort is only mornings , then for the rest of the day no symptoms .am I looking at angina ?
Input from other Angina sufferers would be helpful , Yes I know if I suspect a problem I should go to ER . But……..

I had chest pain a couple of times, called 111 and advised to go to a&e as a certain protein stays in the blood for 24 hours after an angina attack. So I went and it was confirmed "heart issue", angina. Prescribed various tablets and gtn spray. Further tests 9 months later confirm restriction in lad artery. I had a heart bypass in April. Don't ignore this episode, it could be fatal. Get it checked out, CT scan and angiogram needed.

Pre-test probability this is angina is very, very high given your past medical history.
You haven't mentioned your exercise tolerance - how far can you walk without pain?
You really need to attend an ED for ECG and random Troponin.
Even if this is normal will need medication increased and review by cardiology.
If you are currently well acceptable to wait until the morning - attend at 9AM, generally quietest time of day.
Also if you need additional investigation gives lots of time during working day.
