Multicystic dysplastic kidney disease (MCDK) aka one kidney
Discussion
First born on the way and has been diagnosed with Multicystic dysplastic kidney disease (basically only one kidney is growing and the other is just bunch of cysts). Docs says its pretty common (1 in 1000) and most people lead a normal life as the other kidney grows a bit bigger and can handle the functions of the missing one.
Anyone on here had a similar experience or found out later in life they only have one kidney?
