Makes a change to be talking about this and not in relation to "the future of motoring".

Does anyone make a conscious effort to drink it daily? Felt any benefits? Is it a load of rubbish?

Came up in conversation in the office today, with one of the lads swearing by it.

Sounds as plausible at a molecular level as those people who will charge a fortune to fit a magnet to your fuel line to supposedly boost fuel consumption, yet remain tightlipped about the mechanism of action when it's pointed out to them that petrol isn't magnetic.

I'm also reminded of those 'catalyst' things in a wire mesh bag that you were to put in the fuel tank that were advertised in "Motoring & Leisure" etc. Utter bks but no doubt they sold plenty of them.

"Hydrogen water is marketed to decrease inflammation, boost athletic performance, and even slow your aging process."

The Universe obviously didn't get this memo.....

Ahh yes, unlike that normal water which gets me so inflamed, ruins my athletic performance and makes me look old...
The only way hydrogen will slow down your aging process is if you put it in a rocket and send yourself speeding through space at relativistic speeds...

It's a con, I know a chap who swears by it and tried to be a distributor trying to rope others in to what's pretty close to a pyramid scheme.

He was convinced that alkali water was the answer to all his problems when in reality not being an alcoholic chain smoker would have had far better results than anything else on the planet.

Is it like heavy water. Can it be used to make nuclear weapons ?

If not, I’m out!

Someone recently introduced me to the concept of 'structured water' also known as 'hexagonal water', where the water molecules get stacked in a particular way after passing through a magnetic field and vortexing.

I have never heard of such clap trap. The person was quite serious though enquiring if I would work on a project that included this. No.

The comparison with the fuel line magnet that an earlier poster was what immediately came to mind. Whilst you have to keep an open mind in science, you also need evidence. The only evidence is people wanting to make money from nothing.

Was expecting a thread about tritiated water.

This stuff sounds awesome... I'll get some to water my magic beans with.

Hydrogen water has garnered attention for its potential health benefits, primarily due to its antioxidant properties. Research suggests that molecular hydrogen in hydrogen water may help reduce oxidative stress and inflammation, which are implicated in various chronic conditions. Many users report feeling better hydrated and experiencing improved recovery after physical exertion . Incorporating hydrogen water into your daily routine could potentially support overall wellness, providing a refreshing and beneficial option for hydration.
Must be a coincidence - I feel better hydrated after drinking water too.

I have hydrogen in my daily routine, i seem to recall its a constituent of the wet stuff that comes out of the tap, and i also take it via my nose

You’re putting water up your nose?

Why?
