Anyone got any experience of this ?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palindromic_rheumati...

For the last 10/15 years have been suffering with occasional, debilitating foot pain that comes on for no reason and can go fairly quickly or hang around for a bit.

Have had all sorts of tests, MRI's, physio, consultations and all sorts to no avail. Due to its occasional nature, by the time you get an appointment its largely gone, never mind a GP appointment then a referral.

Plus, it moves round, can be either foot, it starts in say where the Achille joins the heel bone, then does a tour of the foot, obviously been tested and ruled out gout, Avulsion fractures, Plantar Fascilitis etc, and I happened on the complaint called Palindromic Rheumatism which matches eaxtly what I have been seeing.

Basically it comes on with no reason, and can range from uncomfortable to abject agony, cant walk for a few days and then, seems to tire of me and ebbs away, sometimes slowly, sometimes overnight. When there is a flare I cant think about walking never mind running, few days later and its like nothing ever happened. Very little external clue, maybe some swelling when its at its worst but its hard to tell.

I know a few folk have said they have had similar, unexplained pain so thought I would ask.

Mine just affects my feet but have had elbow pain, but put that down to overdoing it at the gym.

Not sure of triggers, sometimes I think can be over using it, but this time I had a cold coming on, similarly the worst one was when I had Covid then a the vaccine a couple of years back.

It seems to fit exactly, just asking really how to proceed, I was going to make a GP Appt and ask to get a referral to an Rheumatoligist, i want to get a proper diagnosis, rather than just using Dr Google, but this feels like it, everything else always doesnt fully fit but this seems to but is difficult to diagnose, maybe there are some options for treatment, advice or whatever as its a pain, has ruined a couple of holidays and stops me exercising for weeks at a time, always hanging over me.

I’m suffering with foot pain at the moment but most of my joints are hurting, I’ve been going to gym 4 times a week and I put it down to that,
Found out the other week it could be connected to my under active thyroid.
