Looking for an insurer who'll cover preexisting condition (cancer in my case).

Although I'm fortunate enough my employer covered me on full pay this time, I'd like the extra security should it return.

Thanks

I suspect that's going to be very difficult to find, and if you did find it, the premiums will be such as to make you question if it was worth doing at all.

The reasons why you want the cover now as opposed to pre the cancer are the same reasons why insurers won't want to provide it now.

Is there a charity for your particular cancer? Quite often they have links to a particular insurer, for travel insurance and the like. Might be a good place to start.

You'd be better off speaking with a decent mortgage advisor, they often have experience selling critical illness cover so may be aware of a company that can help. As someone else has said though, you are a big risk from an insurance POV now, so they'll either exclude your cancer from being covered, or your premiums will be so high it won't make sense. Hope it never returns and you remain clear.

As per the other replies unfortunately cover will either be difficult if not impossible to find or at a price that is simply not worth it.
You could try the likes of “ Life search “ as a broker or indeed the meerkats although the former specialise in just life / critical cover iirc and have real people to assist.
Best of luck.
