Waiting time for gastroscopy / endoscopy nhs
Discussion
A lot depends on your doc. Mine wasn't happy with the proposed wait time so nominated a different venue for a colonoscopy which shaved several months off the proposed time frame.
Unfortunately (fortunately?) their version of 'Agent Picolax' wasn't as thorough as it s/could have been so I was in for another a few months later (along with a polyp removal at the same time ). I would say don't be afraid to chase your doc on this as it's in everyone's best interests to get things looked at asap

I'm not sure on waiting times but if you have been waiting a while for endoscopy my husband went private and had a really good experience with Mr Andrew Clarke in Dorset. Hope this helps? https://www.mrandrewclarke.co.uk/treatments/endosc... Could be worth looking into.
