Nuts. Plums. The Gentlemens. Etc…

I suppose having a persistent dull ache in one of them isn’t a good thing for a chap in his mid-40s. No apparent lumps but it is more sensitive than usual and has been for a while. Haven’t done any damage that I’m aware of.

Oh well, here comes the fun of actually trying to see a GP…

Had this about 15yrs ago, turned out to be Variocele, which is the enlargement of the venous plexus, basically a varicose vein in the scrotum, normally on the left side, mine can ache for weeks on end then go without warning, not normally a need to operate in most cases, unless the blood supply becomes compromised, but defo get it checked as it could be something else ..

I had the same, scans etc were clear. Turns out my bicycle saddle needed the nose dropping a few degrees.

Worst part was bing told the scan was completely normal, I had always assumed my plums were magnificent.

Give your local hospital STD clinic a try, they're used to dealing with that area, and used to have a walk in service on a regular basis.

I’ve looked up varicocele, the symptoms seem to fit quite well. Will be getting into the GP as soon as possible.

Classic thing they don’t give a hoot about on the bikes at the gym!

Whilst I am a cyclist, I haven’t ridden since last August so pretty sure it’s not related to that.

I had a dull ache for a while years back, was very very debilitating. Evntually booked myslef a GP appointment and was eventually diaggnosed with chronic prostatitis. Get an appointment or pay for a private GP and get it looked at.

The pain you describe is exactly what I had and it turned out I had a varicocele.

Always best to get these things checked out. I called the docs and was seen same day and referred on for a scan within a few days.

Was far less embarrassing then I expected too, all docs very mindful of modesty and I was invited to cover up my gentleman sausage while they had a rummage.

Another consideration is that it could be an inguinal hernia. Worth asking the question, as that can present with similar symptoms.

That was my experience too. Dull ache in balls (ache then exacerbated by heavy lifting) - turned out I had a left inguinal hernia

GP has punted me on to a urologist for exam and scan, plus bloods. Didn’t want to venture an opinion on what it could be.

Normal course of action these days. It's probably nothing serious but why not , take the scan while it's on offer.

So that's why there are so many women in spin classes. biggrin

I'm off to design a rumble pack for spin bike saddles. This time next year, Rodders!
