Any orthodontists on here?

I recently completed 18 months of orthodontic treatment, which consisted of a quad helix for seven months and conventional fixed metal braces for 13 months.

I use the word ‘completed’ loosely because I never made my way through all of the available archwires, and I still feel there are deficiencies in the position of the teeth.

The biggest Ni-Ti wire I used was 0.018 x 0.025, and the thickest stainless steel wire was 0.18, however, my orthodontist argued that the results I had achieved were “good” and that further treatment is unnecessary because my jaws don’t line up so trying to improve on things further is pointless.

On the one hand, I'm inclined to take the opinion of an experienced orthodontist, but on the other, I'm left feeling a little unaccomplished because, from my point of view, there is still significant improvement to be made.

I’m hoping there may be an orthodontist or two on here that may be able to give me a second opinion, or anyone else who has gone through treatment.

Am I being unreasonable, or should I argue to have my braces attached again and finish all the wires?

Not an orthodontist - the front six teeth, both upper and lower look good to me. That’s all anyone sees of you (except a dentist), so I’d be happy with that. Not sure what the before photos were like (and don’t want to see them, thanks).
