Shoulder decompression and dry eyes (not related!)
Discussion
Anyone had a shoulder decompression? I've currently got a couple of bone spurs either side of AC joint which I'm having shaved in on 3rd Jan. Been told 2 weeks min off work and 4-6 weeks not driving.
Started last year and injections and a lot of physio and chiro hasn't helped 100% - mostly now just hurts in bed as I'm a side sleeper, and putting on coat or driving for long periods. Still doing exercises right up to surgery to get best possible outcome. Also will be taking glutamine and misellar casein powder supplements to help.
Other issue is after years of diabetes and a few eye issues, I've got terribly dry eyes. Optometrist suggested heated eye mask twice a day and blepharitis wipes, which I think has made it even worse. Speaking to a private GP last week hes prescribed chloraphenicol lube which for the first 2 days seemed to help but now even worse! I use clinitas drops and hylo night cream. Anyone else struggle with dry eyes/blepharitis?

I had a SAD op on both shoulders about ten years ago (Sub Acromial Decompression, and it didn't cheer me up either), brought about by a fairly long history of swimming, then probably over training as I got older.
Recovery was pretty quick, it sort of depends what you do, but basic day to day stuff was fine and the typical chronic pain disappeared. It was a few years before I could swim again though and sleeping on one side is still painful. Good luck.

Never had any luck with the eye wipes as they were a PITA to use. The hot wet tissue/compress mainly dripped all over me and goes cold in 30 secs, another PITA
100% eye mask you heat in the microwave. I put a bit of water on to get it steaming too. Similar to this https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07KSJCY1R?th=1
