Run program on home PC/laptop to help with medical research

Hi all,

I've just learnt you can install a program on your PC/laptop to help scientists run medical research calculations for Cancer, Parkinsons etc.

Used to be something on the PS3 like this too.

I wonder how much the extra computing helps when we are on the brink of quantum. The equivalent to overtaking the first colonists with faster-than-light.

I don't think quantum will be available at reasonable prices for a very long time.
