I may end up requiring this for both of my arms and the consultant discussed having both done at the same time. Wondering what the recovery is like for it and how useable my arms will be post surgery.
Having had carpel tunnel release on both hands, those arms became useless and if that was the case for both arms I'd only go for one at a time, but then recovery on each side then having the other done etc ends up taking 4/6 months of in total to recover.

I will be asking the consultant when I see them again, but since that's not till later in November once nerve tests done.

I have had the operation on only my right arm. Compared to the carpel tunnel this was a piece of "p". I was using my arm almost immediately and climbing ladders within a week [but that was my cautious approach].

Carpel Tunnel I was struggling for some time.

I cannot comment on having both elbows done at the same time but given my experience I would have them both done at the same time if that was a need for me.

Thanks for that. I also thought the carpel tunnel recovery was a pain and a bit of a struggle. Currently prefer to have both done at the same time, and your feedback encourages this option.
