Trying to find a swimming coach - North West

I'm an amateur swimmer looking for some coaching to improve my freestyle technique, ideally with the use of video analysis.

I've emailed and left messages for 2 different coaches, neither of whom have come back to me. Google isn't helping me find anyone either.

I'm based in Chester and happy to travel to Liverpool or Manchester to find a decent coach.

Can anyone recommend one or guide me as to where you find swim coaches who actually respond to messages?

SWMBO really likes the coach that works at the local council run swimming pool. She is in the pool with 5 or 6 others, once a week, some wanting to learn for triathlons, some just learning to swim.

TL:DR, try the local swimming pool and ask them - they should be able to help!

If you can make it up to Cumbria, I know someone who transformed my swimming, she’s done the channel and also coached channel swimmers.

It is worth also finding a coach for the type of swimming you want to do ... for example open water swimming is different to swimming in a pool.

Thanks for your replies. Found one in Manchester who works under the "franchise" of Swimming Matters.

Had my video analysis today and it was incredibly helpful. My front crawl has immediately improved along with my pace. Still lots of drills to do to bed it in, but very pleased.
