Anyone do this competitively?
My 16yr old son is into it in a big way, to the point we pay for a coach for him. He's competed in various competitions and done really well. Whilst he does all three disciplines - squat, deadlift & bench press he specialises in single bench press. He's trying to maximise on his strength by competing in various competitions whilst he's in the under 18's category as he will later be competing with the big boys!
He's always wanting some new kit though, whether it be clothing or supplements etc, and then there's travel around the UK to enter competitions, often at small local gyms etc. I'm pleased he's doing something active with his spare time though.
