Is flu thing at this time of year? As I pretty much have all the symptoms.

Started feeling very lethargic at the weekend and by Monday I was flipping between the sweats and being freezing.

I’ve kept on working this week although I’m pretty quiet it’s not been fun being outside in the rain. Struggling to move again if I decide to stop for a few mins

Been popping paracetamol I’ve noticed my pee is really dark and maybe my flow rate feels slower than regular.

I’m a fairly regular with the flu usually December though sure I went to the docs the last time I had it as my peeing had issues then.

Sounds like just a bad cold, you wouldn't even want to get out of bed with flu. Do the twenty pound note test....

I had similar 2 weeks ago, thought it was hayfever to start with but then realised I had a cold.

I very rarely ever get colds, especially in July!

Started as runny nose then a bit of a cough, but after 1 day of avoiding people started to feel better and was back out on my mountain bike by day 3.

I'm thinking maybe it was Covid - the extremely weak 2023 version, but who knows?!

I've known a lot of people get a bad cold recently. Thought it was odd, but might be fall out from the lockdowns with bugs catching up!

May well be a cold but I have no cold symptoms it’s the fever sweats etc that are the main issues.

I tend to get the flu every few years and it’s very similar maybe to a slightly lesser extent being self employed you force yourself out to work but I shouldn’t be doing any work.

Nights are worse can’t sleep just toss and turn all night between the cold and feeling hot and sweaty mind goes into overdrive.

Will keep popping the pills and hopefully a quiet weekend will see it off.

I've had a similar bug for the past 10 days. I started with a sore throat, then aching, freezing / sweating, coughing and now just snotty. I also had the dark pee mentioned by the OP.
I did a covid test which came back negative, so assume it is just a summer cold.

Same for me - started late on Sunday night and thought it was something I ate/drank. Not so bad now and finally had a reasonable nights sleep, but knackered. Annoyingly had almost the identical thing at the end of June. Enough now.

Little update.

After generally feeling worse I decided to go to the docs this morning.

Now on antibiotics for suspected Prostate infection.

I had a similar thing a couple of years ago flu followed by having peeing issues so they have taken some bloods and urine sample.

Interesting that both times this has happened after spending a lot of time driving.
