Anyone here have experience getting health insurance for employees of a small business (less than 10 employees) where it covers existing conditions?

Wondered if anyone can give recommendations which company, or broker to approach?

The AXA online quote seemed to imply you needed 15 employees for them to cover existing conditions.

I doubt you will, most insurers I think have a minimum of around 20 employees for medical history disregarded underwriting.

Even if you do manage to find someone that does it, it will probably be mega expensive as well due to not enough employees to share the risk around with the possibility of unknown high claims.

Hiring more people to go above the threshold or going with an underwritten policy are your only options I think.

Yeah, really struggling with this.

A couple of years ago I had an employee/group policy with AXA. There was only 4-5 of us and somehow we had fully comp with no medical history needed.

Seems that doesn't exist anymore frown

Can recommend a broker who did one for about 30 employees. No idea if they will be able to find anything for you but when left company employment they did an individual policy for me based Leeds area but may do UK wide. PM me if you want contact details

(No connection apart from being a happy customer)
