I have been on Thiamine tablets for the past two weeks, prescribed not by my GP but the assistant pharmacist at my surgery, to try to improve my "Essential tremors". However, they seem to have made the tremors worse and have given me the trots, usually after my evening meal. I can't get in touch with any of the GP's at my surgery, but I was wondering if anyone on here has experienced the same reaction from Thiamine tablets.

Doesn't matter who prescribed it, a pharmacist still has a masters degree and a post graduate prescribing qualification.

What dose do they have you on? A high dose for tremors can cause diarrhoea but they'll likely tell you to persevere and see if it settles or take it with food to slow the absorption.

Sorry I didn't get back earlier, they are 100Mg tabs.
