Over the past week, I've suddenly begun to get random nose bleeds. I'm talking bleeding like a waterfall, it's pouring out.

If I lie down, I'm drinking the sluff, if I manage to plug one side, it starts coming out the other and down my throat. If I lie down, again I'm drinking the stuff.
It lasts about 10-15 minutes, then eases up and stops. Wherever I am, has turned into a bloodbath.

Kind of getting worried now, those it sound like anything anyone else has had?

Maybe I'm a bit strange but if I randomly started having huge amounts of blood leaking out of me at regular intervals, I would go to a doctor rather than ask a motoring forum for advice.

Seek medical help!!!!!!!

As someone who's spent most of his life having nosebleeds, if they'd started suddenly as an adult I'd go and see a quack. I know mine started when I went face first into a wall when I was about eight.

You'll need a Doc to find out the cause of yours.

My son suffers from random nosebleeds and been the doctors etc. They reckon it can be allergies. He regularly take anti histamines and seems to be fine.

Get yourself to A&E - my wife had 3 nosebleeds in 36 hours each of which took ages to stop and each bled more than the previous one. At the hospital they took her straight in due to the amount of blood and performed intimate surgery promptly. The procedure isn’t nice, involves having a soldering iron type implement shoved quite high up the nose, but it was (in her case) the only way to stem the quite alarming flow of blood, which wouldn’t have stopped by itself until she had bled out or choked on the blood in her sleep.
She wasn’t allowed to blow her nose for a week until the blood vessels and skin had healed, but the procedure did the trick.

Have you noticed any other unusual bleeding/bruising in the past week or just heavy nosebleeds?

Typically nosebleeds under control within 30 minutes and during a time of high allergens could just be one of those things but if worried then worth getting checked.

If you have had other bruises appearing or unusual rash then get checked

I had a stint of terrible nosebleeds few years ago, never suffered before and randomly would have one that would end up kicking in every few hours for a couple of days, even a sneeze or scratch of the nose would end up me stood over a sink for 10 mins.

Quacks did tests and all was fine, no irritation from allergies (i blamed hay fever) and blood pressure was lower than it should be, they related it to stress, apparently that can set off nose bleeds.

After leaving the company that used to pile on pressure and treat you like a number that could be replaced if you didn't do everything they threw at you iv not suffered another, actually dont remember last time i had one.

So if you've had more stress than usual could be related to that, best to get checked over just in case. Better your asking the question now than standing in pub bogs pissing blood out your nose at a family meal like i did to realise something really wasn't quite right.

I’ve have nose bleeds due to ops on my nose as a kid.
The method I use is get a small bit of cotton wool, damp with cold water and nip tightly around the area of the bridge of the nose, leading forward while doing this.
Putting “plugs” up the nose runs the risk of breaking the blood clot but I do this sometimes to stop a light nose bleed.
Bleeds worse during hot weather due to nose walls drying out, I usually smear a light layer of Vaseline up my nose to prevent this.

Head forward. Apply pressure.

Any nose bleed lasting >20 mins (especially while on an anticoagulant like warfarin) needs A&E review.

See your GP: Get your blood pressure checked and get some naseptin cream (assuming you are not allergic to peanuts). Apply 4x a day for 10 days. It'll coat the inner part of the nose and reduce risk of rebleeding. In the meantime, unfortunately with the hot weather you're going to be at higher risk of them. Avoid hot drinks, baths and showers.

If persistent issue, get ref'd to ENT for cautery.

What was your last INR?

Went down this road during Covid.

Don't plug the nostril. Don't drink the blood.

Apply pressure to the bridge of the nose. Seek medical help. Go to A&E, or call 999, or 111, if necessary.

Cauterising may help, but there is a limited number of times you can do that.

I had sudden unprovoked nosebleeds from one nostril accompanied by haematuria (blood in urine) very soon after receiving a covid vaccine booster last year in April. Blood pressure normal. It was a Moderna brand - the first I'd had of all of the jabs (4 or 5, cannot recall). I am not saying it was the cause but the conraindications for Moderna include anyone with bleeding disorders. Both phenomena stopped after a few weeks and whilst I have a slight nosebleed occasionally from over-hard blowing, the drip-pre-second over ten minutes type has not recurred. Nor has haematuria. No, I'm not antivax!

Check your blood pressure. I started having random nose bleeds, so thought to check it, in 2020.

My reading was 207/125, Googled it and the advice is to go to A&E immediately!

Now under control with medication and modest life style changes.
