Nose smells like petroleum

Keep getting strong Smells of petrol up my nose .it started from when I opened a pressurised fuel can this morning now I wondering how long this might last ? It’s getting now as can’t get rid of the terrible smell

Also at lunch the pasty tasted very odd ,maybe that’s what it was

Worth doing a quick Covid test as I have heard of a few people say their food tasted like petrol when they had it.

Otherwise, it might just be on your clothes or in your hair. have a shower and change your clothes.

I can’t see how it could be covid but I’ll try and get a test anyway .
Had a thorough wash and changed clothes which seemed to make it a bit better so then got some sweets and all tasted like normal ,now it’s back again though this odd smell .it was so strong earlier that thought there was a gas leak or something nearby .

Also wondered maybe if I had sunscreen in my mouth where it drips off in sweat.
I guess those gases which released in my face were probably highly concentrated,the cap off the can nearly flew off out my hand
