Any dentists out there?
Discussion
I just wondered if any dentists actually can notice which of their patients use electric vs manual toothbrushes. Do they really make any difference?
If so, there seems to be 2 variants. The sonic ones and the spinning ones. Again, any obvious differences with patients to prove one is better than the other?

Hi. I am a dentist. There's no point me replying to posts anymore really as everyone else on PH is far more knowledgeable than me so over to you guys! ????
Your opinions are always welcome but if I can offer some feedback you do tend to come across a tad condescending, sometimes lacking balance and objectivity. It can turn people off.I find it difficult to tell if people use a manual or electric toothbrush. It is possible to do just as good a job with a manual tooth brush but takes a lot longer. Why make life hard for yourself. If you can afford an electric tooth brush then get one.
It is a simple task though to see if patients floss or use interdental brushes or not. Tooth brushes do not clean in between the teeth. If you are just using a tooth brush and not cleaning between the teeth you are doing half a job.
