So this is going to come across slightly bonkers, every now and again I see objects out the corner of my eye, yep bonkers right?. Now i've been through the grinder over the last year, looking after my dad, dealing with his finances, then being with him for 6 days watching him pass away, but i've had these "objects" before all of it. These objects can vary, i've had a black fog follow me down a hotel corridor, I actually told it to do one and it did, I've had a grey bobbing shape go from left to right that I spotted over the top of my laptop, nothing that worried me. Anyone else had this? or should I be worried about an imminent meltdown?

Get an eye test? I get occasional floaters, but not as you've described.

I was going to say floaters.

I quite often see things flying around me or crawling on the floor. It's in my eyes.

Had a bad one the other day whilst out, like a small brown opague mistiness just in my main vision.

Now if they start talking to me.......

I've seen spiders. But that was medication related. You're not on any meds are you? How's your bp - checked it recently?

Ive got a whoop band on 24/7, doesn't do BP but I'll use my FIL one he has. No medication, that would do this, its very odd

I get a lot of floaters and sometimes bleed in my eye which can give 'unusual' effects. (sometimes like a spiders web obscuring the vision in one eye, sometimes dark objects in peripheral vision). This was originally due to diabetes and some old retinal laser treatment I had 15 years ago, so when I get these visual abnormalities I just assign it to that, rather than madness. These effects can be temporary (a few seconds) or last for a few days sometimes. All in my right eye, as I ad something called a vitrectomy in my left eye.

Might be worth getting your eyes checked at an optician, just to check everything is healthy on the retina.

I helped look after my dad for the last 3 years of his life when he had alzheimers. It was hard work beyond belief. But I used to reassure myself with the fact that it was just part of my life, but it was the end of my dad's life. Also that anything that I didn't do, my mum would have to do. And she's in her 80s. So although I miss him, I'm proud of myself and of the fact that my mum is still in relative good health. I hope your life moves on well. smile

Could be floaters, could be ghosts. Could just be tiredness. I saw a lorry next to me once when I was driving. When I shook my head it wasn’t there any more. I think I was slipping into a dream.

Your mind is a funny thing and also the most powerful thing you have. You could be having visions because of stress.

No real advice other than whatever it is you would probably benefit from some relaxation time.

In most areas an Opticians check on sudden onset floaters will be free of charge because of the link to other eye condtions
The schemes vary in name depending on area, it may be MECS (minor eye conditions services),PEARS (primary eye care acute referral scheme) or in Wales EHEW . Your GP or NHS 111 can point you in the direction of someone who can see you.
Most likely to be nothing to worry about but you only get one set of eyes so for peace of mind best to get checked.
