Anyone have experience of having suffered from Peyronies?

I’ve had it for nearly a year now, doesn’t seem to be getting worst, but also not getting better. It causes mild pain and obviously has affects that are not pleasant or comfortable to have.

The online stuff is a bit confusing, some say it fixes itself, over time. Does this always require some treatment?

My age is 56 if that matters.

Thanks in advance for sharing what might be uncomfortable detail.

Yep, throwaway account in use

I suffered from it a few years ago after a quite long vigorous sex session and suffered some pain in my penis, session with wife btw.

After a period of time the plaque grew larger and bend increased, no pain though.

Net result very difficult to achieve penetrative sex, penis length and girth has diminished, not much at all can be done about it, no it doesn't go away in my experience, myself and wife still have a satisfying sex life.

Its something that you just have to live with I'd say, it ain't going to kill you and it's not the end of the world

An understanding wife is a blessing

Good luck

A friend - yes really - had it. A side-effect of Viagra usage.

I didn't see but apparently it was at a 45 degree angle. Surgically corrected by taking a v-shaped chunk out of the opposite side and stitching the edges together.

All well and no further issues, although the post surgery period was a bit uncomfortable. He did lose an inch though.

Sometimes associated with dupuytren’s and ledderhose’s diseases. Similar process, but in hands and feet.

There is corrective surgery, but it’s always closing wedge so you lose some length.
The alternative is to work with it.

Damn.,

Thanks for replies. I can understand the fake account too…. It’s a difficult subject.

It’s not severe but I’m worried it will get worse. There is a company claiming to do non invasive treatments, similar to how they smash kidney stones, but I’m sceptical. Will see If medical insurance will cover it.

Just woke up one morning and it was bent, about 30 degrees from half way up, and corkscrewing forward too. That was a difficult wk I can tell you… wtf!!! There was no obvious initial cause, no vigorous sex, no damage or odd occurrence.

I’m not into invasive surgery down there. God knows I can’t afford to lose an inch or so, and really don’t think that it’s necessary currently, unless it gets worst. Pain in the morning (glory) is annoying. But I think emptying the bladder before it comes and issue helps.

I’d never heard of the condition before so waking up and having to google the subject was a bit scary.
I’m glad I’m not single and having to explain the issue to new partners….

It stopped my infidelities in double quick time. And I realised that I'm no longer a young man, even though anyone can suffer from peyronies. I had been a bit of a player and unfaithful many times it's stopped that in its tracks...

DrMike,
Thanks for that info. I have started developing acute pain in the sole of my feet, near the heal. When I sit or lay for an hour or more, my left heel pad is in considerable pain for at least ten minutes, although it ‘walks off’ with exercise. The heel pad does seem to be firm. Maybe you have linked these two for me…

No it was an account for another reason.

But the hat fits for the subject matter

Good luck dealing with it, it pisses me off now and again, but it's not a big issue tbh....

That sounds far more like plantar fasciitis.
Usual recommendations are calf stretches/strengthening, gel heel pads in your shoes and vigorous massage with a golf ball kept in the freezer. Plantar fascia injections possible but are the most painful thing known to man.

Ledderhose feels like there’s a marble in the arch of your shoe.

Good description thanks. No it’s not that then.

I developed a lump 18 months ago, went to GP and he told me to expect my willy to curve, there are conflicting reports online about whether it fixes itself and cures to try, very little I can find is conclusive.
