As per the title really.

After years of bad teeth, some self inflicted through lack of care in my teens, some of which just seems to be weak teeth that almost dissolve at the first sign of anything acidic.

I've currently got 4 molars removed already, 1 that's likely to come out in the next month or so and another 2 that I'd be surprised if they last a couple more years.

So approaching my mid 30's I'm soon to be left with 2 options, a complete inability to eat anything that needs chewing or go down the denture route.

Dentures just remind me of old people, both sets of grandparents wore dentures, they'd be left in a glass of water next to the bed at night, would occasionally slip when they were eating etc, it's giving me nightmares just thinking about it.

I'm not sure implants are really an option as I've just taken a big pay cut at work so moneys tight and my cars in worse condition than my nashers so will need replacing imminently too.

Basicly just after other people's experiences if any?
I've never known anyone in their 30s to have dentures but also can't imagine anyone that does openly sharing that information so wonder if there's people that you just don't know about.

I find myself considering Turkish teeth as I know i could get my problems fixed for a fraction of the cost, problem is I get pretty bad health anxiety anyway and think the distance involved in getting any problems rectified making that worse.

I had a denture after teeth were removed whilst playing sports (it's good for you!).

Was difficult to eat certain foods such as apples, but aside from that, the aesthetic was so much better than the alternative. After the mouth had stabilised I had a sticky bridge installed and it's been there since 1995.

Don't rule it out as the 'All on 4 or 6' option is the way I would go if in your position. Do your research finding a reputable dental clinic with satisfied patients and make an informed choice, it will require at least two trips. I met a few UK people faced with dentures or implants with fixed over dentures at the place I used. They said it was the best decision they ever made. Yes any issues may require a return trip (return flights <£100 low season) so you're right to factor that in as costs/time against what is likely to be a third of UK starting prices.

Hi .I get why your worried .well they are not that bad if they fit well so not that much to panic about
I did some research a while back though it seems there is great dentists in Morocco who did the same training as the ones here but around 70% cheaper and not as well known as places like turkey .price will vary a bit depending on areas but I’d start enquiring at Casablanca and research them first .

Had a near enough whole top plate before i was 30!

Took some getting used to as it was like putting a dustbin lid in your mouth but after a few weeks, got to the point of not even noticing it.

The only things you probably may have to do is learn to speak and eat again.

hehe

I had a partial plate for a while and hated it. Subsequently I had a couple of implants done (at significant expense) and have never regretted it.

My understanding is that for a full set of teeth (upper or lower) the dentist can place 4 implants and then you clip a denture (complete row of teeth) onto those implants. Sounds like a good, practical solution to me.

My implants were done in UK. One hears decent reports about Turkey but I'm not sure how convenient that would be if there are are any slip-ups or complications.

Normally the 'denture' is fixed into the implant by tiny screws that are concealed with white bond. With correct hygiene they don't need to be removed other than a dental hygenist visit. For both sets work to £30k in UK if that's 4 x implants upper and lower!
