Squamous cell carcinoma

Yep.
Had one a couple of years back in the first lockdown.
Started off as what i thought was like an ingrowing hair.
Didn’t hurt until you pressed it. Grew pretty quick though. Went from small spot to the size of a pound coin within a month.
Docs chopped it out under local. It was on my thigh. Very strange seeing your own leg muscles!
As long as it is chopped out, and around, enough, its usually successful. Get in early is the key.
Sounds like you are in the very very early stage, so fingers crossed thats the end of it.

That is precisely how the one on my cheek developed .Again looked like an ingrown hair last November . by Mid-January on looked like a boil that has erupted , the dermatologist was going to do a biopsy ,but decided to remove it , the one on my forehead was already diagnosed as a basil cell carcinoma so, removed at same time
So a warning to others , dont ignore lumps and bumps on your skin

I had to see a dermatologist on a different matter at Kings College Hospital a day ago and she noted that I had had carcinomas removed , so I took the chance to ask some questions milling around in my mind , and asked if there was any link to my other problem a blood disorder called , Myeloproliferative disorder , this can develop into leukemia ,if not treated , the treatment is hydroxycarbamide a mild form of chemo ,this suppresses the immune system leading to infections as well as skin cancers as in my case
