Hi All,

I can't be the only one who has noticed the rise in advertising for 'organic greens powders' - which apparently, offer all kinds of health benefits.

What puzzles me, is that I've long-held the opinion, that any fruit & veg in my diet should be as fresh as possible. I'm not sure how any goodness can be retained by having them in powder form (?).

Have any of you had such powders ?

Do you feel any better for taking them ?

Do they make you more attractive to women ?

From personal experience, would you recommend them, or will a balanced diet suffice ?

Not just me that’s being bombarded with them then, have you seen the price of the AG1 stuff?

I like my fruit, admittedly I can be pretty bad with veg so wondered if these were worth doing.

I'm a sucker for snake-oil in the form of pills, potions and lotions that might make me look 10 years younger and/or live 10 years longer. smile

None of them work, of course - but perhaps the green powder will bring tangible health benefits (?)

My opinion is nothing beats a balanced diet with your 5 a day.

All these potions and powders are pushed by influencers and Youtubers just for the pay or because they are vegan or whatever the latest fad is.

All these style of product seem rather pricey for what they contain.

That said, I don't suppose I can get Spirulina (whatever that is) from my local greengrocer, so I'll stick with cabbage, carrots, peas and broccoli.

I've been taking Athletic Greens, rebranded AG1 now, for quite a while. I'm well aware a balanced diet that included everything included in this is probably better, but I genuinely dislike vegetables and I quite often don't have the time.

I honestly feel better for it, whether it's placebo or not I don't know, but I also don't care. My stomach feels better, skin and eyes look brighter and I feel overall healthier than I did before I started taking it.

It's not cheap but it's pretty much my one vice.
